Who

My name is Harry van Veen, I am a sworn translator English > Dutch (Registration Number Wbtv: 40853). A sworn translations is needed to register, amongst others, testaments, birth certificates, passports, driver’s licenses, marriage certificates, death certificates, emigration documents, divorce decrees, etc. in the Netherlands.

Furthermore, I have devoted myself to legal translations like contracts, notarial deeds, legal documents, privacy policies, disclaimers and delivery conditions, through specialized training.

Of course I also accept translation assignments for which no certification is required.

Sworn Translations

A sworn translation is a translation of a document that can be used for official purposes. Sworn translations can only be made by sworn translators. A sworn translator is a person who has the necessary skills and qualifications and is sworn in by a judge. If you want to study or work in the Netherlands, you often have to submit a series of documents. Because of the importance of these official documents, that were issued by governments, educational institutions or previous employers, a simple translation is not sufficient. In such a case, a sworn translation is required.
